Don't push your son into knowing the truth, as if it's something that is really so important. My older son had friends who told him about Santa but when I asked him what he thought, he told me that it was because the other kids didn't get presents from Santa from being (they will justify their beliefs). When your little guy is ready you will know by the way he brings the conversation up. 6 is still little enough to believe in all that stuff and he probably will still have a couple good years left in him.
