My friend has cancer in her neck... info?

There are many many types of cancer which may be present in the body in this case neck. It can be cancer of skin, salivary glands , cartilage ,fibrous tissue and so on. Without proper clinical examination and investigations like biopsy its not possible to tell what type of cancer it is. And regarding is it dangerous or not the frank answer is it may be or may be not but as you say her mom also has it and the fact she is still alive makes it probable the ve cancer is not very dangerous.
