Did I encounter a glitch?

I had Veronica as a companion but decided I wanted Boone. I told Veronica to head to Lucky 38 and she said she was, I picked up Boone, and started walking around. I wanted to try to get into the Brotherhood of Steel base, and wanted to take Veronica. So I told Boone to head back and wait at the Lucky 38. When I went back to there, Boone was waiting but Veronica was gone. I went back to the 188 post, and she wasn't there either?! Could she be somewhere else, or is she glitched?
